“I would definitely recommend Providence. Everyone was efficient and professional.”

- Albert Sangineto

Friendship. I didn’t think Henry was making a new friend when he started home health care, but he most certainly did.

He’s been receiving physical therapy at our home three times a week, and all of it has come from Lisa.

I’ll never forget when she first started. Henry was as stubborn and grouchy as can be. He didn’t want anyone coming into the house telling him what he needed to do. He hardly gave Lisa a chance when she started, but that didn’t stop her from smiling. It was as if she knew that it would take time to get Henry involved.

Each week seemed to get a little better. After a month or two Henry started talking about therapy and Lisa more often, and even more than that he was getting better physically. Her smile, her commitment and her caring for Henry has made a huge difference in his life, and mine!

To think that Henry didn’t want therapy, didn’t want to try any new exercises, and now is committed to working hard and achieving his goals is simply amazing. Now Henry can’t wait for his therapies with Lisa. Unbelievable.

Lisa has been absolutely wonderful and I can’t say “thank you” enough.

“There’s no place like home.”

You’ve most certainly heard it before, said it before, and wished it upon yourself at some time in your life.

We know how important and comforting it is to be in your own home and that is one of the ideas that has been established at Providence Home Health & Hospice Care.

Providence Home Health & Hospice Care is a member of the Rest Haven Christian Services family. Our organization was created for the purpose of providing care in an environment where your loved one feels most comfortable…their home. Whether your loved one lives alone in their house or apartment, with a loved one elsewhere, or in a retirement community, Providence Home Health & Hospice Care can meet your unique needs in the privacy of your own home, where ever that may be.
Understanding and fulfilling your loved one’s personal needs is the most important goal of our staff.

We care. We care. We care. It cannot be said enough. Providence Home Health & Hospice Care’s staff is dedicated to serving the physical needs of adults requiring nursing, rehabilitation care or care of the terminally ill.
Under the direction of our Administrator, a licensed registered nurse, our team of professionals provides services ranging from post-hospitalization to comprehensive rehabilitation therapies to Hospice care.

Services provided by our agency include:

  • Skilled Nursing
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
  • Medical Social Worker
  • Home Health Aide
  • Hospice

All of these services are provided in your loved one’s home. Whether it is intravenous infusion, wound care, diabetic instruction, education of self-administering medication, treatment of any medical condition, or personal care provided by a certified nursing assistant, our staff is dedicated to providing compassionate care that is individualized to each loved ones’ specific need.

Hospice is a positive alternative to traditional treatment methods for the terminally ill. Hospice explores the ways the terminally ill (within the last 6 months of life) can live their lives to the fullest by choosing to reside in their own homes, the home of a family member, or a friend, or possibly in a skilled nursing facilty. We offer comfort-oriented services to any person with a life limiting illness with months rather than years to live. Our Hospice philosophy emphasizes dignity and quality of life with a focus on caring rather than curing. Members of the Hospice team are specially trained in managing symptoms, controlling pain and caring for the psychological, social, emotional and spiritual needs of a client. Bereavement services, including support groups, are offered for one year following the patients’ death. We exist in the hope and belief that through appropriate care, patients and families may be free to attain a degree of mental and spiritual preparation for death. Providence Home Health & Hospice Care serves the south suburbs, Indiana, and surrounding southwestern and southeastern communities. All services are provided under the direction of a client’s personal physician. To cover the fees required for services, Providence Home Health & Hospice Care seeks reimbursement through Medicare, private insurance and HMOs. Our staff can deal directly with the patients’ insurance carrier to verify, obtain and negotiate coverage.

If you would like additional information about the services we provide, please send an e-mail to our RN Administrator Linda Brown at lindab@provinet.com. You may also contact us directly at 708.331.0400.
