Rest Haven Central offers enough variety in our menu cycle that residents can have five weeks' worth of meals without eating the same thing twice! Our menu is discussed in detail at monthly Resident Council meetings, and their feedback is factored into plans for future meals. Special meals are provided on holidays and special events. The Activities Department also plans picnics and other functions involving food for the residents.
Our registered dietitian assesses each resident's nutritional needs and works with the dietary team to develop a meal plan that meets those needs and preferences.
But we understand that food is about more than nutrition. It should be an enjoyable social experience as well. In addition to our two main dining rooms, the Garden Room is available for independent residents, the Wicker Room is available for people with special needs, and residents receiving rehabilitation services have access to their own convenient dining room.
Family members are welcome to bring in favorite foods and snacks for their loved ones, as long as food items are sealed in airtight containers. Please be sure that all food that is brought into the facility is within the guidelines of your loved one's diet. |
