Spirits can be refreshed at the Rest Haven & Christian Healthcare Foundation Women’s Connection event called An Afternoon in the Gardens of Thornhill at Morton Arboretum. This event will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at 11:30 AM. The event begins with punch served in the Founder’s Room, the original library of the Morton family estate. Lunch will be served in the Auditorium with a beautiful view overlooking the meadows of the Arboretum. Our guest speaker is Dr. Rhonda Kelley, author of the book “Raising Moms: Daughters Caring for Mothers in Their Later Years.” Dr. Kelley is professor and coordinator of the Women’s Ministry Program at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. A 30-minute Tram tour of the west side of the Arboretum will be offered after the event on first-come-first served availability.
