HOMER GLEN, Ill. (Monday, July 24, 2006) – “We’re very pleased that State Representative Renée Kosel will be visiting,” says Mike Venzon, General Manager of Victorian Village. Representative Kosel will be at Victorian Village on Tuesday, August 1, at 10:00am to receive the Life Services Network “Partner in Quality” award for her efforts to assist Victorian Village in providing excellent services to seniors. The public is invited to attend a brunch in the Grand Victorian dining room to thank Representative Kosel for her commitment to consumer-focused quality for older adults.
“State Representative Kosel has been very supportive to protect our seniors’ prescription drug relief options and benefits. And she led the initiative to reduce water rates in Homer Glen, which was a real help to seniors as well as others in the community,” says Venzon. “This reception will give us an opportunity to show our appreciation. And it will give Renée the opportunity to update the public on current issues.”
Venzon acknowledges that developing partnerships with local legislators can increase awareness of senior needs as well as appreciation for the programs and services Victorian Village offers to improve the quality of life for seniors. “We are committed to excellence in service to our residents,” says Venzon. “Seniors should not have to settle for anything less.”
