Victorian Village Hosts Annual SAFE TRICK-OR-TREAT |

HOMER GLEN, Ill. (Wednesday, October 31, 2007) – “It’s a great way to celebrate a safe Halloween,” says Katie Barbier, Recreation Director at Victorian Village Senior Living Community. “There are refreshments—rain or shine!—and everyone has a great time.”
The annual Safe Trick-or-Treating is a free event open to all children in the Homer Glen area, and will be hosted at Victorian Village on Wednesday, October 31st, 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Trick-or-treaters can expect to enjoy plenty of refreshments, as well as candy to take home. This year Victorian Village has also added a Pumpkin Carving contest to the line-up of festivities. Pumpkins will be judged by the residents of Victorian Village, and prizes will be awarded in “Best Carved,” “Best Decorated,” and “Best Theme” categories. Barbier reports that the residents of Victorian Village enjoy the annual event almost as much as the children do. “They enjoy seeing the children’s costumes,” she says, “and they like to watch the twinkle in the kids’ eyes as they fill their bags with goodies.” Victorian Village Senior Living Community is located at 12600 West Renaissance Circle (1/4 mile east of Bell Road on 143rd Street) in Homer Glen, Illinois.
