HOMER GLEN, Ill. (Monday, November 5, 2007) – “Honestly, we’re thrilled at her interest,” says Mike Venzon, General Manager of Victorian Village, in reference to yesterday’s visit from State Senator Christine Radogno. “When I learned that she specifically requested to visit our campus because of our reputation in this area, I was thrilled. That means a lot to me.”
Though Senator Radogno had only 45 minutes to spend at the Independent and Assisted Living campus in Homer Glen, she made the most of her time. She graciously accepted a Life Services Network “Partner in Quality” award for her efforts to assist Victorian Village in providing excellent services to seniors. She addressed remarks to the residents who had gathered to meet her. And she toured the campus, asking questions about the amenities and services. “In fact, one of Senator Radogno’s staff members is exploring Victorian Village as a home for her parents,” says Mike. “During the Senator’s visit, our Sales Director was able to meet with her staff member and provide answers to the questions she had about her parents’ needs. It was nice to be able to offer that kind of assistance.” Mike acknowledges that developing partnerships with local legislators can increase awareness of senior needs as well as appreciation for the programs and services Victorian Village offers. “We are committed to excellence in service to our residents,” says Mike. “Seniors should not have to settle for anything less.” Victorian Village is a member of Life Services Network (LSN) and is participating in “Partners in Quality,” a grassroots advocacy program that promotes the importance of their commitment to quality.
