HOMER GLEN, Ill. (Thursday, March 16, 2006) – “It’s a great way to celebrate spring,” says Annette Gioiosa, Director of Admissions at Victorian Village Christian Retirement Community. “There are contests and prizes and refreshments—rain or shine!—and everyone has a great time.”
Gioiosa is describing the seventh annual Spring Easter Egg Hunt for children 10 and younger, which Victorian Village is hosting on Saturday, April 8, at 10:00am. The Homer Township Chamber of Commerce, co-sponsor of the event, provides prizes for the children, and local businesses provide promotional giveaways for the adults. Victorian Village will serve free refreshments for all who participate.
Running around the campus to find hidden eggs is the main entertainment, but children can also win prizes in the school district coloring contest. Entries are displayed at Victorian Village and judged the morning of the egg hunt. “Our residents love to watch the children running around the grounds,” laughs Gioiosa.
