Thank you for considering Rest Haven West as a home for your loved one. Rest Haven West is a fully licensed 145-bed, skilled and intermediate nursing facility. We are located in a lovely residential area near Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Illinois. Our aim at Rest Haven is to provide loving, Christ-like attention, personalized care, and peace of mind for your loved one and for you.

We also adapt to the changing needs of the elderly in our community. That was never more apparent than in the fall of 2003 when we unveiled our new and improved rehabilitation facility. Our state-of-the-art facility features 7,028 additional sq. ft., high-tech-equipment, supporting offices, reception and waiting areas, and plenty of easy access parking. We knew there was an increased need for seniors to rehabilitate and return to their own homes. Our new facility is allowing many to do just that.

At Rest Haven West, we strive to extend a family’s love and the love of God to every one of our residents. We express that respect and love in terms of care for each person’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs. All care is tailored to each resident’s needs in accordance with the instructions of his or her personal physician. That care begins with 24-hour-a-day, skilled nursing care, but includes much more:
  • Rehabilitative physical, occupational and speech therapy provided by Marianjoy, our in-house, licensed therapists
  • Dedicated, secured wing with special programming for residents with Alzheimer’s and related memory disorders
  • Meals planned by a registered, licensed dietitian
  • Pharmacy services on-site
  • Laboratory and x-ray services on-site
  • Dental, podiatry and eye care services on-site
Individual resident’s emotional and spiritual needs are addressed through our full-time social service department and through the loving attention and assistance we receive through our area Protestant and Catholic churches. Our Rest Haven chaplain is also available to meet with any resident and/or resident’s family upon request.
